Fantasy Flight Interactive to Close in February
Updated: Jan 8
Tim Gerritsen, studio head of Fantasy Flight Interactive, announced on social media Monday that the digital RPG publisher will fold in February.
"I have programmers, designers, artists, QA staff and a producer to get placed in new roles and will do my best to do so quickly," Gerritsen said in a LinkedIn post. Additionally, I'm now open to new opportunities myself since I will also be out of a job."
Fantasy Flight Interactive launched in 2017 as a digital arm of parent company Fantasy Flight Games. FFI's major product was a digital Lord of the Rings card game. FFG also has licensing rights for Star Wars and A Song of Ice & Fire; it is not yet known if the closure of the interactive brand will put any properties in the parent company in jeopardy.
